Second Day of Class
I woke up, at 8.30am, which many of you know is only a mere 2 hours after my usual bedtime.
Confirm blur. So I checked my timetable, class is at 10. I take my bath, I get dressed, I wear heels to keep myself a little bit more awake, because well, I don't know if this applies to anyone else, but when I wear heels I'm more alert to how my stance is and where I step, and this somehow keeps me awake and alert, unlike flat shoes and sneakers, I drag my feet along and slouch and just.. slug around when I'm not wearing anything with heels.
I go to Mackers, grab a hash brown and a hot tea to go. I finish the hash brown and take the tea along with me.
So okay. I go looking for my class right, which I am told is the END of the block. The very end of the tunnel we call the HELP HMC block.
I step into class with my hot tea in a styrofoam cup in hand, everyone looks unfamiliar. I'm thinking these aren't my classmates from yesterday.. but I thought okay nevermind, I'm in the right place what it says so in the timetable.
Everybody looks at me funny because I haven't been in their class before.
I ignore it. 10 minutes later I check my sets that I wrote on the timetable. I am in Groups G,B,B and C. I am currently sitting in a class for Group F.
I smile to myself and pretend like nothing happened and sit through the class, since I'm already there and I have no transport back, all my friends were in different classes and I was going for the same lecturer's class the next day for the same subject anyway.
So I listen, I ignore the student details list they pass around, I figured I'd just fill it in when I'm in the correct class, don't want them taking attendance for me in Group F.
Then ICE BREAKER. I laugh silently to myself, thinking.. Should I raise my hand and say I'm in the wrong class? Or do I just go with it?
MY turn.
Hi, I'm Sandra Woo. 10 minutes ago I realized I was in the wrong class. I'm supposed to be sitting for tomorrow's ITC class at 8am. I actually don't have any classes today. Everyone laughs. I laugh. The lecturer insists that I proceed with speaking about myself, while she laughs at me from time to time. I laugh too coz its pretty damn funny. I am excused from tomorrow's class since its the same. Its okay, I'm still new.
But still zha dao la really.......
