Noir: Prom

Organizing prom isn't a lot of fun. In fact, it was stressful and worrying - worrying about what would happen in the event that we weren't able to cover our costs, worrying about scheduling, worrying about every single fucking aspect of it, and especially dealing with people who think they are involved in organizing, have a lot of shit to say, but at the end of the day, 0 contributions. Thank you for wasting our time.

Sincere thanks to those who helped with giving ideas, helped make the night happen, helped me with figuring out a way to get the registration done, helped me find a DJ who charged a minimal price. Thanks to the Dj who still charged the minimal even though I told him he would only need to be spinning for 1 1/2 hours which turned out to be the whole night and I had to rush him to get there on time which I was so so so very apologetic about. Yet he was still very gracious about it at the end, thank you thank you so much. Thanks to those who made the night happen, thanks to everyone for layaning the dance floor, thanks to Brian for the video, you are irreplacable, thanks to Kavi who sat through registration and getting stressed up, thanks to Kar Mun and Maxine who put up with my rushing to get there on time, thanks to Khye Yuh who busted his ass to make this happen in the first place, of course not without my help hahaha.

Thanks to everyone for looking so wonderful that night as well.

Yet there are still some people who very well manage to accuse us of gaining profit and cheating in counting votes.

Here's the breakdown for you all sly mouthed fuckers, the Shang charged 130 just for seats and food, the extra 30 went to paying the band, Dj, our party planner, and to cover those who confirmed seats with us but bailed out last minute without warning ok? Which is quite a few, some of you should know, you didn't inform us that your friends weren't going to show until that night itself.

No profit, not even enough money left to back ourselves up in the case of any extra charging emergencies. Happy now? Would you even have a prom if we didn't organize one for you?

I counted the votes, all is fair and square, nominations were counted by the tables, they won means they won, no point for everyone else to keep yaking on and on because your name probably didnt pop up anywhere. Fyi, I slashed off votes for me because I was the one counting, yay for everyone.

OTHERWISE, it was a great night, Reizo Zen was awesome, so was Aunty Mable, all went smooth and well, it was great seeing everyone dancing, all was good.
